Our Story

Vy and Nick’s love story began in Singapore, where fate kept bringing them together - first as study abroad students in the same dorm, then as familiar faces at the bus stop, until a shared craving for Indian food turned into their very first date. What started as chance encounters blossomed into something deeper, enduring the tests of long distance and the challenges of cross-country moves. Now, after miles and memories, they’ve built a life together, filled with laughter, love, and the joyful company of their beloved dog, Miso.

FAQs

CAN I BRING A GUEST?

We're so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we're keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.

ARE KIDS WELCOMED?

We love your little ones! However, due to limited space, we hope you understand that our wedding and reception will be adults-only with the exception of those in our close family. Thank you for your understanding!

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Please join us in your best cocktail attire - think suit jacket and button ups for men and colorful dresses for the ladies. The weather in San Diego is beautiful at 60-70 degree in May though it might be slightly chilly at night, so plan accordingly.

ARE YOU SIGNED UP WITH A WEDDING REGISTRY SERVICE?

Your love and well-wishes are the most important gifts of all. If you would like to contribute in another way, a monetary gift will help us as we plan for our future together.

WILL YOU PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION / DOES THE VENUE HAVE PARKING?

Yes! We will provide a shuttle from the DoubleTree Hotel to the wedding venue on Saturday and to the after party. More details to come. Alternatively if you’d like to drive, there is plenty of complementary parking at the venue (and you can leave your car there overnight.)

WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be outdoors - then we'll head into the castle to dance the night away!

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Ceremony will take place at 4:30pm. We recommend that you arrive no later than 4:15 to make sure everyone is on time.
